Welcome to the first edition of the Artificial Inteligence Summmer School at ETTI, a unique opportunity to dive into the world of Machine Learning and AI. This event is designed to introduce you to the fascinating field of AI, covering essential topics such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this summer school will provide you with the knowledge and skills to embark on your AI journey.
What to Expect?
Join us for a series of engaging lectures, hands-on workshops, and collaborative projects. You'll learn from experienced instructors, work on real-world AI problems, and connect with fellow students who share your passion for technology and innovation.
When and Where?
The summer school will take place from September 15th to September 26th, 2025, at the Leu Campus. Daily sessions will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with breaks and networking opportunities. The event will be held in-person to foster collaboration and hands-on learning.
Who Can Join?
Open to all ETTI bachelor's students who want discover the world of Machine Learning and AI. Priority given to 2nd and 3rd year students. Previous experience is appreciated, but not required—just curiosity, dedication, and a drive to learn!
What You’ll Need?
To make the most of this summer school, you should have: your own laptop (this is a hands-on experience, be ready to code and create!), commitment to participate in both weeks, and a passion for learning about AI.

Alexandru-Florin Ene
Alexandru-Florin Ene is a master's student at ETTI. He is highly passionate about programming, with extensive experience in low-level hardware programming and electronics. In recent years, his focus has expanded towards AI applications in audio engineering, where he continues to develop advanced software solutions. Outside of his academic pursuits, he is a dedicated video game enthusiast, as well as an experienced game designer and developer.

Andrei Radu
Currently a PhD student of both SD-ETTI and DISI-UniTn, Andrei Radu is a reseacher in the field of Generative AI. He focuses on developng novel methods for better control and adaptability of the generative models in image, audio and text generation. His works on multimodal solutions has found applications in multiple domains such as entertaiment, healthcare and robotics. In his free time, he enjoys motorsports and is always on the lookout for the latest music and movies.

Dan Curavale
Dan Curavale is a PhD student at SD-ETTI and a Research Affiliate at Infineon Technologies Romania. His doctoral research is in the field of electronics, where he uses generative models to automate model creation in system engineering. Alongside his PhD, he also pursue a distinct research interest in healthcare, focusing on the development of automatic diagnosis tools for patients with epilepsy. Beyond these professional pursuits, he is passionate about football, tennis and enjoys traveling and reading.

Gabriel Pîrlogeanu
Gabriel Pîrlogeanu is a PhD student at SD-ETTI and a researcher & developer at Zevo Tech. His work focuses on speech and language technologies, with key interests in Automatic Speech Recognition, Speaker Diarization, and Audio-Visual models. He’s also worked on research topics such as Few-Shot Learning and Speaker Identification at the CVN lab, University of Paris-Saclay. When he’s not working, he’s usually wrecking his hands at the climbing gym or out hiking somewhere.

Nicolae-Alexandru Guzu
Alexandru Guzu is a PhD student of SD-ETTI, where he conducts research in the field of Large Language Models. His work focuses on the development of generative models to support software verification and the creation of production test programs. With prior experience in projects related to AI-assisted verification of integrated circuits and biomedical signal analysis, his contributions span across multiple domains, including robotics, healthcare and industrial testing. He also works in collaboration with the industry partner Infineon.

Radu Bolborici
Radu Bolborici is a PhD student at SD-ETTI and a Machine Learning Engineer at MaDENN. His research focuses on AI applied in audio, particularly speech synthesis and voice cloning. His work centers on conditioning techniques that improve control, adaptability and robustness in diffusion, flow-based and autoregressive models covering speaker, style, and prosody conditioning for robust zero-shot generation.
